WHAT HAPPENED TO
THE FRENCHFIELD POOL

Picture
Riverside bungalow with swimming history attached
The property, Frenchfield, comes with a pony paddock and is set on the site of the old Penrith Swimming Club, overlooking the river and Brougham Castle.

It has views over the ruins of the 13th Century castle and far along the river. The bungalow lies on the site of the old clubhouse for the swimming club which used this part of the river from 1880 until 1980.

Remaining within the grounds are a paddling pool and diving board into the river, dating from the 1940s
